"Incident at Beta 9"
Star Trek: The Multiverse Crisis

reviewed by Fred Dixon

Star Trek: The Multiverse Crisis had one big thing going for me: There were no homages to The Original Series. This production follows the exploits of the U.S.S. Hannibal, a Saladin-class Federation starship. The storyline of "Incident at Beta 9" was decent, but it was overtaken by the Star Trek: Enterprise episode of "Affliction" in 2005 with its explanation of the Klingon transformation of their physical appearance. There were two unrelated stories linked together by the starship Hannibal

The acting was decent (and it was decent), the costumes somewhat ill-fitting (the Starfleet insignia was practically in the armpits of some of the tunics), the sets claustrophobic, and the special effects were primitive. There was an okay mix of TV and movie themes. It was good to see that Long Island survived into the 23rd Century (judging from the accents and the locations). The rhino horn on one of the starship captains was a bit disconcerting, but at least different non-Human species were being introduced in Star Trek.

This one is worth at look at on YouTube and I give it a B-.
