ORION PRESS assumes no responsibility for any site(s) other than its own. However, Star Trek fans might find the following sites of interest:
Recommended Classic Star Trek Websites:
Curt Danhauser's Guide to the Animated Star Trek Series -- has information about the biographies of Arex and M'ress. Nicely done with a guide to alien species encountered as well! Updated December 2007.
Mayberry Trek -- a fascinating look at how the sets from The Andy Griffith Show were utilized by the Star Trek production team. A MUST VISIT site! *NEW*
Star Trek: The Animated Series -- a wonderful site by Kail Tescar about the animated episodes of the original series. Kail also has some nice fan fiction in the form of comic books, screencaps from the DVDs, and an adaption of Russell Bates' "The Patient Parasites" online as well! Coming soon: Starship Farragut will be animated! Updated April 2008.
Trek Place -- Greg Tyler's excellent website featuring non-fiction articles and interviews about the original series. Updated March 2008.
Trek Bits -- Classic Star Trek site featuring select episode reviews, video captures and assorted Star Trek downloads. Last updated April 15th 2006.
Trekiverse -- the collected alt.startrek.creative archive for Classic Star Trek stories; some of the featured authors on this large site are Lynn Syck, Bonnie Berryman, Mary Rottler, Rob Morris, Ann Zewen, Rick Endres, to name a few; there are also links to TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT material as well. Updated October 29th 2006.
The God Thing -- a look at the Gene Roddenberry & Jan Michael Friedman novel which was never published. A good look at some of the nonsense that goes on at Pocketbooks. Last updated July 2004.
Here's the science-fact or other websites I use as resources for our zines:
David Darling's Encyclopedia of Astrobiology, Astronomy, and Spaceflight -- an extremely valuable resource for finding out about our heroes' playground
Space Dog's ALL THE COOL STARS -- for those of us who would peek our heads above the clouds and have a good look around -- if it has a name or is very close (under 25 light years away) chances are it's listed here
The Seventh Sanctum Character Generator -- Actually, I've never used this particular tool, but it's a clever thing to develop, and might be handy for new writers.
Here's the new location of a few unofficial Orion Press fan fiction archives:
Eridani -- features 299 of the TNG stories originally published in our award-winning fanzine, ERIDANI. More will be uploaded to the website. It's goal is to host ALL our TNG fan fiction, and Nico Declerck is working hard to make it so. :)
The Orion Press Outpost Library (in exile) -- containing quite a few of the stories originally published in our DS9 fanzine, OUTPOST, including Jeff Morris' Fan-Q Award winning story, "Prisoners."
BEKi's Riker-Troi Fan Fiction -- the ORION PRESS stories from various zines featuring the imazdi (Riker/Troi) relationship. The site hasn't been updated in some time, but there's plenty of stories to read. Exchanged emails with BEKi lately, and she intends to keep the site going.
BEKi's Paris-Torres Fan Fiction -- only one story featuring the couple from Voyager.
Laura Taylor's Beyond Gloomy Chaos is on-line. This is an excellent TNG/DS9 novella, perhaps one of the best we've ever published. Be sure and check it out! Laura informs me that more of her works will be on-line this summer!
Morgan Stuart's own website, Fiction by Morgan Stuart, is now on-line. It features her several of her Orion Press published works including her VOY novella, And Not Fade Away, which received a 1998 Fan Q Honorable Mention. The site was updated in 2005.
Tantalus On-Line -- Some of the best TOS stories from Ann Zewen/Orion Press' hurt-comfort fanzine, TANTALUS. The site is now being hosted by Hypatia Kosh, and my thanks go to her for doing so.
Here's a source of mailing lists, newsgroups and archives for Star Trek fan fiction:
Star Trek Original Series Fan Fiction Mailing Lists and other online resources: Listings arranged in each category in a somewhat logical order. The site was last updated in November 2007.
This is a list of contributors who have their own websites:
Patty "Andriech" Wright (whose work appears in ANTARES 15, 16 & 17) has her own Chekov site with lots of fan fiction. It's www.chekovsite.com, and as of September 2006, it is now the Official Walter Koenig website! Check it out!
Donna Gentry has published several of her stories to her website including Lion's Den - A tragic secret from Julian's childhood is revealed and old, painful memories awakened when a childhood friend, now the ruler of her people, chooses DS9 as the site for peace talks between her home world and its warring colony worlds.
Karen Halliday maintains an index of Star Trek stories and zines, as well as hosts a few of her own stories that we published on her homepage.
Keleka has a few of her Orion Press-published Classic Trek stories on her website: Keleka's World.
David Lawrence's fanzine on How to Create Artwork is now available on the Internet, and is an excellent resource for those of you wanting to learn how to draw. David will even be teaching classes on his technique in the Seneca Public Library. This site was updated in January 2006.
Selek has a Sarek and Amanda Pictures story archive/pictures site at http://members.shaw.ca/selek/.
The 13th Doctor has posted much of his DS9 and TNG fan fiction published in OUTPOST and ERIDANI to his own website, The Writings of the 13th Doctor.
d. William Roberts has a Shaun Kelsey website with links to his fiction on our site as well as a link to his self-published original science fiction.
This is a list of folks with whom I've exchanged links:
Cheree Cargill has her own website these days. Cheree was the Star Trek Welcommittee member who actually gave me some advice about how to start my own fanzine way back when. Spock/Christine fans, in particular, will enjoy her site: http://www.geocities.com/trektales
Kathleen Dailey has a terrific pair of Spock/Romulan Commander novels available on her website:
http://home.ican.net/~editrix Not updated lately, but the novels are very enjoyable.Zelda Scott has a website devoted to Classic Star Trek that includes some fan fiction.
