Talented Folks

April 2009

One of the things that Orion Press did when it first started out was that it set a frenetic publication schedule. And we kept to it as long as we could. And although our schedule is nowhere near as packed as before, we still produce three or four fanzines each year. Over the past two years, we reprinted all our ORION ARCHIVES with the original artwork restored and even produced new issues of those publications. All this while filling orders for our older, "out-of-print" fanzines that people still want for their collections. This month, we released ANTARES 18 and collected the SIXTH FLEET stories set in 2295 into one volume for publication.

How do we accomplish this, many ask? Simple: we have such a wonderful pool of talented folks who help in every stage of the production. From Selek who proofreads virtually every story we post and/or publish, to Jim Ausfahl who works with new authors as well as serves as a scientific consultant, from half a dozen regular contributors who always want to share their stories with our readers, to the hundreds if not thousands of readers who are eager for more adventures.

I'm very proud of the work we accomplish, of the entertainment and joy we provide. That's the reason we do it; that's the reason we'll continue to do it.

I'm just glad that we're still around to make it happen for you...

Randy
