Episode 01: Truth and Consequences ***NOW ON-LINE***writer and director: Jeff Sorg The U.S.S. Mojave encounters a dying planet whose small population is strictly governed. Captain Morgan and crew must intervene when the Mojave is attacked and dragged down to a crash landing on the planet! Download the Episode here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Bloopers Quality Rating: 42% Overall, when one takes into consideration that this production features a primarily juvenile cast, it's not terribly bad. But it's not terribly good, either. There's mumbled dialogue, young actors on the verge of laughing after the delivery of each of their lines (and choppy editing to hide that fact), and the occasional line forgotten but not refilmed. Story-wise, the episode is a redux of "The Return of the Archons" and "The Apple," and not a particularly clever retelling at that. While not the most stellar of fan films, I've seen several that are far worse. Watchable, but you really find yourself wishing they'd not used the kids in the production. |
